The 2015 Kaohsiung City Low Carbon Living Practices and Adaptation Program - Operation Building of Low-carbon Life includes eight major categories of: promoting carbon reduction measures in government offices, promoting low-carbon counseling, promoting low-carbon excellent units to participate in Carbon Reduction Action Award, promoting organic diets, other low-carbon life promotion measures, upgrading the overall quality of residents, promoting carbon neutral and greenhouse effect emissions reporting operation, and handling low-carbon drama advocacy; as well as 25 minor operational practices. They have been carried out through 25 sessions of activities, producing 2,500 copies of brochures, 400 posters and 1,000 copies of promotional flyers, purchasing 2,000 copies of promotional materials, publishing once in a magazine and 3 times in news or advertisements, and other propagation measures to advocate low-carbon life. The aims are to allow the public to have a deeper understanding of the environment, climate change, global warming and other issues that they are personally living in, cultivate the public’s correct concept on climate change, and realize the impact of climate change. These help to change their attitudes and take actions to plant the low-carbon concept deep into their mind, achieve sustainable urban construction measures through implementing the mitigation and adaptation practices step by step, and create the final goal of low-carbon sustainable living.

Low Carbon Living Practices, sustainable
